At Summer’s End

Labor Day is here.
The weather is cooler.
It’s time to reflect.

By now, many of you know how my summer went: It began with me meeting someone fantastic and surprised to find myself in love. Real love.

Michael and I. July 4th 2011 weekend.

It ended with me losing a job I loved.

It’s interesting how when one part of your life is going well, another part seems to come apart.

Or maybe not.

Maybe this was all part of the plan for me. For my future. I’ve thrown myself, 110%, into my career as a radio and TV journalist for close to two decades. Nothing came before that.

Not love, not geography, not anything.

But, then I got older. I grew up.

I want to be more than just a voice on your radio.

Congratulations, I’m a real person. I did what I was meant to do in radio – accomplished plenty in less than two decades. I got good. I got great.

I got bored.

What’s next for fall?

Just wait…and see…
